Signs of freight damage

If you have any questions please contact us at 888.289.1952

THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP IN PURCHASING A TOOLBOX IS PROPERLY INSPECTING YOUR SHIPMENT.

IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT YOU READ THIS PAGE THOROUGHLY FOR YOUR PROTECTION.

The freight carrier's terms and conditions clearly state that you are unable to inspect your shipment unless there are signs of damage to the exterior packaging. Signs of damage can be as simple as a tear in the shrink wrap or a broken pallet. You will always be able to find scuff or mark on the packaging somewhere that will allow you to inspect your shipment. If you have any issues with your freight driver not allowing inspection, call us immediately at 888-289-1952 and we will speak to him/her personally to arrange your inspection.

Please click here for a more detailed description and images of SIGNS OF DAMAGE.

Schedule a delivery appointment with your freight carrier.

Step 1. Schedule a delivery appointment with your freight carrier.

Once your toolbox is in transit and traceable on your respective freight carriers website you will be able to call your local terminal and schedule a delivery appointment.

Once you call your freight carrier and tell them your tracking number they will give you a date and time for when they can make your delivery.

All residential deliveries will require a delivery appointment.

Commercial deliveries do not require a delivery appointment but it is HIGHLY RECCOMENDED that you do so to ensure your shipment will receive a proper inspection. 80-90% of all damaged freight that is signed for is done by a co worker that was available and unaware of our freight inspection process while the proper consignee was away.

Be prepared to receive your shipment.

Step 2. Be prepared to receive your shipment.

Freight carrier drivers typically have 7-15 min to make a delivery. To make the inspection process go as smoothly as possible, please have the tools listed below available as soon as your toolbox reaches the pavement.

  • BOX CUTTER
  • TIN SNIPS
  • WORK GLOVES
  • CAMERA
  • CELL PHONE - In case of damage please call us immediately at 888-289-1952

The plastic bag and shrink wrap can easily hide dents and dings that can occur during shipping. Once removed inspect your toolbox on each side thoroughly for any dents or scratches.

Additional packaging materials including cardboard corners and a composite top will be present. Please remove and set them aside.

hands down one of the best tool boxes you can get at this price. I couldn't bring myself to spend thousands on a big name box. this one has plenty of storage and the quality is pretty good. I've owned craftsman boxes before but when I needed a larger set up like this I couldn't find a craftsman box that was in the same price range that offered everything this one does.

I only have a couple of problems with this box. the paint is not the best quality as there was a few small blemishes and some orange peel. but I work in a heavy equipment shop a there will be a time that some idiot will bump into it with something. the bottom drawer on the top chest would catch when I pulled it out. all I had to do was lightly tap the frame down a lil to straighten it as it must have gotten a little bent from the store or during shipment. but the biggest problem I have is the drawer liners a very cheap and aren't cut to an exact fit. so when you push the drawer in your tools will start to slide back. fix: just buy some good liners and cut them yourself. the box has plenty of storage and what really got me was the drawers were shallow instead of deep. so there isn't a lot of wasted space with my tools in there. after you get your box the will send you matching sets of locks so they will all be the same key. I just kind of thought they should key them all before they send your order. when you unlock the top chest you don't have to open the lid to get into the drawers which is nice if I have to grab something really quick.

I would definitely recommend this one to a friend or just anyone for that matter that is looking for a good quality box from a company that has excellent customer service. (Posted on 10/20/2014)

Extreme 32 inch tool box review

Well made and sturdy. I like that all the casters swivel instead of just two, which makes moving the tool cart around much easier. Timely delivery. Love the free shipping and although not cheap, the tool cart quality and free shipping make it very competitive. (Posted on 1/20/2012)

The toolbox is heavy and well built.

Overall I'm very happy. The toolbox is heavy and well built.

I've only got two gripes with this tool box. First of all it really needs two handles on each end of the top chest.

When the toolbox arrived, it was on a small pallet and they had the top chest in a cardboard box sitting on top of the bottom cabinet which was in another cardboard box with a strap to tie the top and bottom together.

The truck driver offered to help me lift the top chest off the bottom so I could inspect the bottom cabinet and I just about dropped my side. The top chest is just too heavy with the drawers in it to lift with a single handle on each side. That said, even Sxxx-ox's KRL 54" top chests only have one handle on each side so maybe I'm asking too much.

The other thing I could do without is the big obnoxious Extreme Tools logo on the bottom. If they would ditch this logo and use they money the save to add two more handles on the top cabinet would be perfect.

But it was well packed and arrived without any scratches or dings. (Posted on 6/30/2011)
