72" Tool Box Inspection

Signs of freight damage

If you have any questions please contact us at 888.289.1952

THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP IN PURCHASING A TOOLBOX IS PROPERLY INSPECTING YOUR SHIPMENT.

IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT YOU READ THIS PAGE THOROUGHLY FOR YOUR PROTECTION.

The freight carrier's terms and conditions clearly state that you are unable to inspect your shipment unless there are signs of damage to the exterior packaging. Signs of damage can be as simple as a tear in the shrink wrap or a broken pallet. You will always be able to find scuff or mark on the packaging somewhere that will allow you to inspect your shipment. If you have any issues with your freight driver not allowing inspection, call us immediately at 888-289-1952 and we will speak to him/her personally to arrange your inspection.

Please click here for a more detailed description and images of SIGNS OF DAMAGE.

Schedule a delivery appointment with your freight carrier.

Step 1. Schedule a delivery appointment with your freight carrier.

Once your toolbox is in transit and traceable on your respective freight carriers website you will be able to call your local terminal and schedule a delivery appointment.

Once you call your freight carrier and tell them your tracking number they will give you a date and time for when they can make your delivery.

All residential deliveries will require a delivery appointment.

Commercial deliveries do not require a delivery appointment but it is HIGHLY RECCOMENDED that you do so to ensure your shipment will receive a proper inspection. 80-90% of all damaged freight that is signed for is done by a co worker that was available and unaware of our freight inspection process while the proper consignee was away.

Be prepared to receive your shipment.

Step 2. Be prepared to receive your shipment.

Freight carrier drivers typically have 7-15 min to make a delivery. To make the inspection process go as smoothly as possible, please have the tools listed below available as soon as your toolbox reaches the pavement.

  • TIN SNIPS
  • BOX CUTTER
  • WORK GLOVES
  • CAMERA
  • CELL PHONE - In case of damage please call us immediately at 888-289-1952

GatorBuilt®

With 20 years experience in the professional automotive tool and equipment industry, we have seen many companies come and go. It is our commitment to providing the highest quality products and outstanding customer service that ensures our company stands out from the rest.

Strictly Tool Boxes chooses to work with only a few tool box manufacturers because they have proven their ability to deliver a high quality product at a fair price. We have removed many vendors from our site for various reasons. The primary reason we stopped working with certain manufacturers was low product quality.

We are certain many of you have noticed the trend for tool box manufacturers to make the products with thinner steel every year. For certain light duty home applications, these lower end products may work fine. However, for the automotive professional or a serious do-it-yourselfer, we found that these products cannot hold up.

If you have questions regarding products, or if you do not see the brand you have questions about on our site, give us a call at 888.289.1952. Because of our vast experience in the professional automotive tool and equipment business, we have seen and worked with most brands currently on the market. We will be happy to help in whatever way we can.

Perfect in Every Way

I am a guy with a lot of tools, although I don't make my living with them.

Wanted a tool box a lot larger than available at the big box stores and didn't want to pay the price charged by the guys who drive around in the tool trucks. I was replacing a 30 year old Craftsman box which had served me well, but which I had outgrown.

Found Strictly Toolboxes on The Garage Forum. Combination of positive reviews and the reasonable price and I was sold.

Purchased the 72" Tool Box Elite Combo in black and paid the additional $30 for a lift gate delivery. Shipped quickly. ABF was transport company and driver provided updates on the day of delivery. Driver was able to navigate my driveway and dropped the pallet in one of the bays of my garage.

Product was extremely well packaged and the driver was amenable to waiting while I took apart the pallet/packaging. Driver even helped me. Visual inspection of the box and hutch showed no freight damage so I signed the bill of lading the driver departed.

Three hours later and the box was ready to go. You will need help from a couple of buddies or an engine hoist (which is what I used) to place the hutch on the cabinet as it's heavy and bulky. My single criticism of the instructions is the failure to advise the user that holes have to be drilled in the stainless/mdf top. I knew about this based on reading other's reviews and the guys at Strictly Toolboxes advised they have already or will soon update the instructions. There are "X's" painted on the underside of the top (on the MDF) and they were perfectly placed. After drilling the holes they lined up perfectly with the threaded holes in the cabinet top.

The box was as advertised. The quality of construction is great. The quality of the paint may not be quite as nice as the boxes off the tool trucks (not as shiny or as "deep"), but under the harsh fluorescent lights in my work space, the black finish looks fine. The detents in the drawers are set at just the right point. The quality of the stainless top is great with a very nice pattern embossed on it.

As follow up, I asked for matching locksets (for cabinet and hutch) and the guys at Strictly Toolboxes responded same day and shipped the lockset.

I am 100% satisfied with my purchase and have already invited the neighborhood over to see my new toy. Everyone is suitably impressed. Thanks, Strictly Toolboxes. ...(Posted on 9/2/2015)
