This thing rocks!I will admit, I was a little skeptical at first. "How is every single review 5 stars? Surely there's some downside to them... right?" I researched this box anywhere I could find, and continued to see nothing but praise and positive reviews for it.
In the year+ I saved for this box, I'll bet I found 50 people online (outside of strictlytoolboxes.com that had this box (or a variation of it), and nothing, NOTHING, but great positive feedback. I always took them with a grain of salt though, because you can never really know what they have to compare it to. A homeowners box from a big box store? A low end Snap On? A Snap On Epiq? My previous box was a Snap On Classic 96, and the other box in one of the pictures I posted is a Snap On KRL.
Delivery was amazingly fast. I ordered it Monday morning. It was in my city Tuesday morning, FedEx delivered it Wednesday morning (they didn't have a truck with a liftgate available Tuesday).
Okay, so it gets here. I ordered it with liftgate service because I don't know how to drive a forklift and didn't want to bother the only people that do. Pallet was broken in transport (didn't damage the box any), and we couldn't get it off of it so had to use the forklift anyway. Got the roller off the pallet, and the forklift driver went back to working. Should have kept him around, because the hutch is freaking heavy too. Wow. And just FYI, you have to take the stainless top off of the roller (there's one inside the hutch already), and it's pretty heavy too. THERE ARE SCREWS ALREADY ON THE BOTTOM OF THE HUTCH. We had to take the hutch back off to get those screws out. I put the original stainless top on top of the hutch, and it looks great.
The real reason I started looking at these was the height of the hutch. It's 72 3/8" with these wheels to the top (plus stainless top), the door opening is 69 3/4". I'm 6'2" so that was a big deal. That KRL beside me? The door opening is 9" lower. I can rest my chin comfortably on top of the box. I can barely even look inside of it.
The shelf is nice too. It's too big really to hold anything more than paperwork for me (put it low enough to store stuff on it, and the laptop is blocked by it), but it has a little channel to hold wiring and such. There's a knockout on the left side for a car stereo installation. There is no power converter included to power it, but I used a Mean Well brand 29 amp converter, it was about $43 and will be powerful enough to power lights too.
I was really worried I wouldn't like having the detents over Snap On Lock'n'Roll, but I really don't even notice them 90% of the time. There are also a set of softer detents included, but I don't think you'll need them.
The drawers don't slide quite as easily as on the Snap On boxes, but they're still smooth and easy to operate. The handle is a little cheesy looking too, but it works great to hang coats since it's so high off of the ground!
The drawers are at least as stiff and sturdy as the KRL next to me. Definitely feels more solid than my old Classic 96. The drawers don't really flex at all when hanging on one corner of the big drawers.
I really can't get over how well put together this box is. I'm ashamed I spent $400 more on my smaller Classic 96 5 years ago, because this box is the best deal around!
Cornwell dealer was pretty darn impressed by it, but I don't think Snappy liked it so much!
Thanks again, strictlytoolboxes!

Great quality and great priceThis box is huge! I looked online for used name brand boxes for a good price and they still want way too much for those boxes. I finally decided on this box cuz of the size and the price was just too good. The quality of this box is great and everyone was impressed ! (Posted on 1/31/2016)
