ThanksOrdered my box in 2013. This is just a follow up comment. Quality is great, very happy w my box. I would just like to say thanks for having REAL LIVE people answering your phones. That means a lot, and shows dedication. Phone menus only scream one thing, laziness. Thanks for not being a part of that bunch. (Posted on 8/26/2016)

Extreme 55" 11 Drawer Professional Tool Cabinet w/Stainless Steel TopToolbox was delivered within 3 days, one day faster than promised. Arrived undamaged, because it was packaged very well (cardboard box with packing on inside and wrapped in a thin sturdy MDF box protecting the box). Now onto the box. All I can say after 20years in the aircraft and automotive industry and seeing all the big name brand boxes and not to mention the month or so I researched before I bought this box is WOW....Much better than I was expecting, the quality is amazing and the overall size is perfect. Glad I went with this model. Also Stricklytoolboxes customer service (Shannon) is Top Notch, answered all questions and they also called "after the puchase" to make sure you got all the shipping details, thats something you don't see, especially from a internet company. Thanks for everything and I'm sure I will have a few friends calling you guys for a box. (Posted on 5/17/2013)

Good company to do business withReceived tool box today. Nice looking box and built like a tank. Could not believe that the drawers pulled all the way out. You don't realize how big the box is until you stand next to it and then pull a few drawers all the way out.
Strictly toolboxes did a fine job of crating the box so it would not suffer any damage in transit. Will be updating in the next few months with the add on hutch. The whole purchasing experience was 1st class.CommentThank you for your feedback! You already votedSorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again3 people found this review helpfulon
Awesome Product.I've been in auto and body shop business for over 20 years. Seen and had numerous boxes and none compare to the extreme box for value and quality. I just bought a side locker to add to my 55 inch 2 bank box. I will also be adding a hutch and another locker very soon. Top notch product. (Posted on 3/31/2018)

4 years in still very happyPurchased one of these 4 years ago for my hobby shop. Was impressed with the quality then, and I still am now. Drawer detents were a little stiff at first, but they do loosen with more usage. Paint finish is very tough and the stainless top is great. I would recommend getting four swivel casters if you want to maneuver it into tight spaces. The 30" deep drawers are fantastic, and they do pull out all the way (a couple of them a little stiff the last inch or two, but no big deal), and they have very smooth, high quality slides that actually become smoother the more weight you load in.
I would highly recommend this box if you need lots of storage for heavy items/tools.
I was also very pleasantly surprised with the quality of their customer support, which was outstanding in replying to emails and guiding me through my rather convoluted shipping arrangements to get this box delivered to Canada for a reasonable cost. (Posted on 12/3/2017)

Great tool box, great price and great customer serviceMy husband is a diesel mechanic at a large dealership. He needed a larger toolbox so I searched online looking for the best value. Ordered the Extreme Tools 55" 11 drawer box and he couldn't be happier with it. Took a long time to transfer his tools to his new box as all the other techs were checking it out. They were all impressed with quality and especially the price. One of the techs commented about it being better quality than his new Snap On box that he paid thru the nose for. He loves that the drawers slide all the way out and the 30" depth. He is extremely happy with this purchase. He said the packaging was excellent and the instructions for receiving the box and checking for damage were great. The shipping company showed up without the lift gate I paid an extra $30 for so I called StrictlyToolboxes and the phone was answered immediately by a live person who was very friendly and helpful. So add great customer service from strictlytoolboxes.com to the list of great things about my order. Glad I found the box and the website. Won't ever consider another brand of box if he needs to upgrade again. (Posted on 9/17/2014)

Professional Quality..I recently purchased the 55 inch professional tool chest after 1 year of careful research. I could not have made a better purchase. Some of my colleagues in my particular industry have several big box brands off the truck and they were ALL impressed with the size, quality, and especially the value of my tool chest. Tons of space, made solid, smooth operation of all drawers. You might as well purchase the nice faultless casters, as in my opinion, these complete the look of the chest. Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality, professional tool storage . Thank you extreme tools... (Posted on 7/23/2013)

Review for professional toolbox 55in.First of all let me start by saying that this is the best looking box in my shop. I love it and I know for a fact that every one I work with are mad at them selves for buying from the trucks. The box is made really sturdy and surpasses some of the other big name boxes.the only thing i kind of dislike are the detents that hold the drawers shut I think they are ti weak for my taste but someone else might be ok with them, other than that no complaints at all love the box and the size. The picture does not show how big it is...I would definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone....Love it.... (Posted on 6/8/2013)

55w x 30d x 46h inch black boxLove my new box! All the other techs in my shop (Dealership) were more excited about it than me! Compared it side by side with the "Tool truck" brand boxes and this one is deeper and taller for 1/3 the cost. I got the upgraded casters and they are extremely smooth. This box weighs 970 lbs & rolls easily. All drawers open smoothly and feel solid. I especially like the one key lock mechanism. It came with a Strictlytoolboxes.com catalog and everyone (10 techs) wanted to look through it for their next purchase. I'm looking to buy the matching hutch next. Overall...AWESOME box made with highest standard quality parts. Don't hesitate to buy this one. The same dimension Snap-on box is $10,000! Nuff said. (Posted on 4/18/2013)

Extreme 55"I wanted to write a quick note to say how pleased an excited I am about my new Extreme Tools 55' Professional grade tool box. The thing is build like a tank. Super heavy duty construction with drawers that slide like they are on butter!
The 30' deep drawers are awesome! There is just so much space to organize tools by type. Every time I slide the drawer out, I am just dazzled.
I have seen boxes from off the "truck", but they have nothing on this super heavy duty, well made box. I looked at used boxes from the truck companies and I am so glad that I went with a new Extreme Tools 55' instead! Plus, it perfectly matches my 42'. (Posted on 1/17/2013)

AWESOME!I have owned a few of the name brands and this is by far one of the best. I researched tool boxes for several months since I was going to spend big bucks. I looked at the high end boxes but for the money I wasn't going to pay thousands of extra for a name. I looked at all kinds of boxes and went with the heavy duty chest since it will probably outlast me and I can hand it down to my son. Sales was great and explained everything to me and what I was getting and how to deal with it once it arrived. It came crated up professionally with no dings on it. The truck driver even offered to help me get the pallet up my inclined driveway with his pallet jack. I uncrated it and found it in perfect condition. I got it rolled into the garage and looked it over. It seemed the drawers were a bit lopsided when closed (the gap was a bit bigger on one side versus the other). I called customer service and he said pull the drawers all the way out and grab each corner and tweak it back and forth (you won't hurt it). I closed the drawer and it was perfect. While being shipped they get bounced around and will settle a bit. The drawers all work great and even stick nicely when shut so when you roll it around the drawers don't go flying open. The stainless top polishes up great and the powder coating blue is beautiful! I look forward to adding on to this one! There is no doubt I will buy anything else! A+++. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is it is a freakin a lot of money and feel it could be a bit cheaper. You do get what you pay for though. (Posted on 1/14/2013)

Best bang for the buck!I spent the last two years researching which tool box to replace my aging 40 inch toolbox and roll cart. A side to side comparison was made with this box to ALL other top brand boxes in terms of what you are getting for your money. Hands down you get the most for your money with this box. I have had this box for over a month now and I am still getting compliments. Even the tool truck guys had to grudgingly admit it was a "nice box".
It is quite a nice feeling knowing that I was able to fit all of my tools with plenty of room to spare. Having the 30 inch deep drawers is one of those features I never knew I wanted but now cannot image being without. The stainless steel top is a nice perk and easy to clean. I highly recommend upgrading to the faultless casters though. They do seem to raise the box up a bit for more storage area underneath and give it an overall more durable look.
Only minor issues have come up. The drawers are very sticky to pull out at first and can require both hands. Replacing the rubber stops on the back of drawers with provided smaller ones did help a bit. The chrome handles are prone to dings but I think that is more of a result of my own clumsiness. Shipping did take a little bit longer than expected, but then again it was free and easy. Highly recommend the lift gate option if you don't have access to a loading dock or a forklift.
Overall I am extremely satisfied with the purchase and already have a couple of coworkers rethinking their upcoming box upgrades (Posted on 9/27/2012)

Great Box!Over all this is a great tool box. Only complaint I have is the shipping package could have been a little more rugged. Some rougher handling by the carrier would have damaged the box. The box is very well made. I was specifically looking for a heavy gage box, and this delivered. My shop neighbor has a Mac box which I was envying, but now the tables have turned and he is jealous of my box, not only is it bigger but it cost $2000 less! The drawer detents are solid and drawers don't open while moving the box. This should be the last box I ever need to buy. I looked at a lot of boxes over the last six months, Snap-On, Mac, and Craftsman. I bought this box because the construction is on par with the big guys and the price couldn't be beat. Don't waste your time on Craftsman, Mac, or Snap-On boxes. Get the same or better quality for a reasonable price. The Mac rep in my area liked the box and wanted to know where to get one. One note for Strictlytoolboxes.com, when someone buys a box with a stainless steel top, throw in some stainless bolts and washers for the pull handle, I bought some and it completes the professional look. I am recommending this box for anyone who wants a high quality, reasonably priced tool box. (Posted on 6/27/2012)

Great BoxI have been looking for a new toolbox for about a year, when I found this one online. I was a not sure about buying one online but after doing some research and talking to customer service about it I decided to buy one and hope for the best. When the toolbox arrived it was VERY well packed and protected. After getting the packing off and looking the toolbox over I was very pleased with the construction of it. It was built better then I expected for the price I would even say better then most of the more well know toolboxes found in most shops. Long story short if I had to do it again I would with out question. The only problem I have with the toolbox is the stop on the top left drawer don’t work when you pull the draw all the way out, I am sure it is an easy fix I just have not had time to check it out yet. One of the things I like best about the toolbox is how sought it is, on the bottom of the draws there is support channels that keep the draws ridged even when there is hundreds of pounds in them, they also still slide in and out smoothly with all the weight. I have recommended this toolbox to a few friends and co-works, for the price and what you get it’s a great deal and you’re not paying an extra thousand or so for a decal that says Sxxx-ox or Mxx.
