Tool Vault®
With 20 years experience in the professional automotive tool and equipment industry, we have seen many companies come and go. It is our commitment to providing the highest quality products and outstanding customer service that ensures our company stands out from the rest.
Strictly Tool Boxes chooses to work with only a few tool box manufacturers because they have proven their ability to deliver a high quality product at a fair price. We have removed many vendors from our site for various reasons. The primary reason we stopped working with certain manufacturers was low product quality.
We are certain many of you have noticed the trend for tool box manufacturers to make the products with thinner steel every year. For certain light duty home applications, these lower end products may work fine. However, for the automotive professional or a serious do-it-yourselfer, we found that these products cannot hold up.
If you have questions regarding products, or if you do not see the brand you have questions about on our site, give us a call at 888.289.1952. Because of our vast experience in the professional automotive tool and equipment business, we have seen and worked with most brands currently on the market. We will be happy to help in whatever way we can.

Make Truck Brand Buyers Look Like Fools*This box is used in a Professional Automotive setting everyday within a very large Toyota Dealership*
I ordered the Montezuma Elite 72" with Hutch about 3 months ago and feel I have had enough time with it to give a thorough review. First off, let me say that I couldn't have been happier with the service given to me by Strictly. Joe is incredible, answers all questions and gives you updates on everything. He really gets involved right about when the box is delivered, making sure you, the buyer, understands the entire delivery inspection process. When the box is delivered, it looks as well packaged as any highly important package. It took a good deal of time to get the tool boxes out to check them over. I looked over every inch of the both pieces and found absolutely nothing wrong. There was a hole punched through the exterior wood board, but there was so much protective foam and packaging inside, that nothing got through. This is a testament to their incredible packaging job, and the care they give when delivering your tool box.
After everything is out and setup, I really got to take a good look at how massive this thing is! These tool boxes are tanks, and are very solid. Believe me, the 1400lbs that this setup is quoted at, is no exaggeration, there's a lot of steel in this tool box! It took 4 of us to lift the hutch up on the tool box. Only odd thing, is that I found I had to drill through the SS top to mount the hutch. Maybe I did it wrong? But i couldn't find any other way to mount it. The mounting hardware is hidden so no one would ever know. After the hutch was mounted, I was able to start playing with things. The hutch door opens with a little muscle required just because of how thick and rugged it is. As it rolls back in, it makes a nice thud when it engages it's stop. The ONLY complaint, is that it doesn't go in farther. I keep worrying i might bash my head on it, but when i looked at other hutches, it seems to be a typical trait of all hutches. So no points deducted! The shelf is way nicer than most would thing. Keeping things up out of the way, but still within reach is such a luxury that many in the shop get jealous about. As far as lighting, I have two 36" fluorescent lights. One on the backside of the hutch door (so when it opens its right above the shelf), and one under the shelf which really brightens up the work surface. I love the SS top with the textured finish. I get a lot of compliments on it, as no truck branded tool boxes have a top like this. It really does catch your eye when walking by.
When working on it, it is very solid and does not interfere with writing, as I was concerned about that. The drawers on the tool box are all very solid and open/close with authority. The large drawer up top is immense and will fit anything you throw at it. The fact that is also has two shallow "superwide" drawers below it are a HUGE plus. Most truck brands only offer one. With two, i can put longer screwdrivers/pry bar sets in the first, and in the second, my huge pliers collection. There's definitely no shortage on space in it. The drawer liners are very tacky and keep tools, etc from sliding around when closing or opening. They really are premium liners. The six sprung casters with 4 brakes really aid in moving this boat around. I honestly don't know how I would move this tool box over uneven surfaces without them. Not only do they work and look good, but they take stress of the tool box when rolling over rough surfaces. My tool box came with two polished, heavy duty handles, one for each side. I don't know if I got an extra or if you really get two, but it's nice when positioning it into a spot.
The paint finish is very nice and looks like automotive quality. I'm quite particular of my things and take very good care of stuff. I wax it once a week and wipe it down with mist detailer every night. So it has stayed looking incredible. It does seem to like fingerprints... But I'm sure every tool box does. All in all, i couldn't be happier. It makes my job easier everyday and is a joy to work with. I come in every morning smiling when I see it. It really is THAT nice. I was actually looking at a Mxxxx 5s box for more than what I spent on this, except it was only 56" wide and 25" deep with NO hutch. I knew it just wasn't going to cut it size wise. This tool box fits the bill perfectly. Huge size, incredible quality, and an amazing value. I have been recommending Montezuma (through Strictly of course) to anyone looking for a new tool box. A few apprentices have just started a bit ago and are in need of a tool box that will suit them for awhile without breaking the bank. I showed both of them this site and they immediately decided to bail on the little, overpriced Sxxx-Ox boxes they were looking at. They were even discounting them 50% and were still more than an equivalent Monty. Another Master Tech here claimed he was going to order a Hutch for his Mxxxx after seeing mine just because of how expensive the Mxxxx one was. I seem to be converting a good deal of techs in the shop. The others just walk away with their tail between their legs, knowing they spent 3x what i did for a tool box that in my opinion, isn't any better. Montezuma is about to take over. With their prices and quality, I can't see any reason why they wouldn't. ( (Posted on 9/5/2011)

If you buy this tool box first, it will be your last!!!I have owned Craftsman tool boxes all my life, not anymore. The money I spent over the years was a lot more than the cost of this one. When I needed to purchase a new toolbox I went online and started looking for a tool box that would hold all my tools and last till retirement. This tool box will go the distance. It has a lot of metal in it and ball bearing drawers. The deep drawers are great for the thicker tools (air and battery tools, large wrenches, 3/4"drive, and batteries). The 2 1/4" drawers are the right depth for the smaller wrenches, sockets, pliers, screwdrivers, and other small diameter items. If you are undecided about the 24" versus 30" Montezuma, go 30. You will not believe how much difference 6" makes; it is like having an extra tool box as-far-as square inches are concerned. The hutch is money well spent for me. In my line of work documentation is produced as you reassemble motors. The top of the tool box is the right height to write. With the hutch, papers are protected and manuals are kept close at hand. Again the useable space in the hutch is massive. I love it.
I have had several coworkers look over the tool box, and am impressed with the quality. The more I use this toolbox the more I like it. I have to say it did take me awhile to relearn the location of my tools, but that's true with any tool box. I have to say this is the least expensive tool box, as-far-as the quality is concerned! Par none! (Posted on 4/5/2012)

Ordering was easy. Delivery was mostly easy. Lower box was slightly damaged but they will take care of you. Way worth it!I purchased this box in orange back in June 2019. Since its arrival in a very well packed cargo crate the box has been the envy of the shop. A couple of the other techs plan on purchasing new boxes because of how great the quality and price are on these. Both the Mac and Snap on guy are actually impressed as well.CommentThank you for your feedback! You already votedSorry, we failed to record your vote. This box sure makes our shop look goodI have had my tool box a few months now. I ordered the tool box and had it within two days. That’s very fast. The box was in a heavily built crate. Taking the crate apart was easy. Setting this tool box up didn’t take very long at all. The only thing that wasn’t done for you was there needed to be holes drilled into the top to mount the hutch to it. That was a very simple task as they were marked exactly where they needed to be drilled. This box is simply the best box for the money. I have been researching a lot of different tool boxes, but this one was the best for the size, value, and features. I am a full time diesel technician. Everyone in the shop couldn’t believe how nice and big my box was. Then, they heard the price I paid for it and how fast I had gotten it. A few of the people want to buy one of these boxes for their next box. I couldn’t even get a box of the tool truck that fast and for sure not even close for the price for the size of the box. This box is built very heavily. The hutch is one of the best features with the shelf. I have put all the cases on the shelf with tools in them. Also, all the books I have are on the shelf. The shelf doesn’t even bow downward. I’m very impressed. The hutch is was a very nice touch. I thought about just buying the box without the hutch, but I’m so glad I spent the little bit of extra money to get it. That has left a lot more space inside the box. I believe the drawer rating completely. It has better drawer ratings then the more expensive boxes. The drawer detents are a little hard at first but with a little time they soften up. The tool box comes with softer detents. I would recommend this tool box to anyone. I would definitely by another one in the future if I needed it. I have more room with this box than I need but, I figured I could grow into it. Strictly tool boxes are very professional along with Montezuma tool box which thought of a very easy set up. The tool box rolls across the shop very easily. The spring loaded casters make it very nice for uneven spots in the floor. The casters also have locks to keep the box stationery. This box sure makes our shop look good. It is the biggest box in the shop that’s for sure. (Posted on 11/16/2012)

Elite Combo ReviewBy far the best money ever spent for a toolbox. Every person that has walked through shop has stopped to inspect this tool box. The techs cannot believe the value compared to the tool trucks, nor could they believe how heavy this thing is built. It took several men to pick the hutch up and onto the tool box. I am beyond satisfied. Will recommend this to anyone in the market for a large well crafted tool box. (Posted on 3/13/2012)

I would definetly purchcase againThe TV Elite Combo 1 has been the best purchase I have made. The ordering and shipping and receiving and assembly of the 72" 17 drawer with hutch was real easy and painless. I have used this Tool Vault tool box for a few weeks now and can't be happier. I have received quite a few compliments on looks and structure.CommentThank you for your feedback! You already votedSorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try againon
Best Tool boxI am a ASE Master Tech and have been working in the automotive repair business for over 25 years. I was looking for a replacement for my over stuffed Craftsmen tool box. I found this tool box co. while surfing the web. I am glad I did.
At first I was shy and worried about ordering a tool box without seeing it. The price was to good to be true too.
When comparing it to Snap on and Matco. The price is a lot less then theirs but the quality is the same.
This is by far the best investment I have made in my career. (Posted on 7/3/2013)

MTZ-EliteCombo1First of all the box is way more than I expected for the price. I was worried because I didn't get to see the box in person before spending the money. I was also concerned about shipment and the damage that might occur with a box this size but the crates were very well packaged. The buying process was really easy and only takes a couple of minutes. Everyone is my shop was impressed with the quality for the price. Great buy! (Posted on 6/4/2013)

Montezuma 72" Elite 17 Drawer Tool Cabinet with HutchI needed a new tool box but didn't want to pay the high price of the local tool distributors. So, I did an internet search and found the Montezuma. I was skeptical of the low price but after ready through reviews and forums, I decided to purchase this toolbox. The tool box was on back order so it took a couple of months to get it. It was well worth the wait. I am very impressed with the customer service. They told me exactly when it would arrive and kept me informed. The tool box arrived in a new wooden crate that was well put together. I didn't realize how massive it was until I opened the crate. The toolbox is huge and drawers are very deep. It arrived scratch free, had all the parts and everything worked. As big as the tool box is, it rolls very easy. The four swivel casters and two fixed center casters make it a breeze to move. I strongly recommend anyone looking for a nice but inexpensive tool box to buy a Montezuma. (Posted on 6/23/2011)

Happy! Happy! Happy! This is by far the best value in the toolbox market! I haven't been in this box very long yet, and I don't always open the right drawer for the tools I'm looking for. Then again, sometimes I just open and close drawers in astonishment of how much room there is! Everyone that comes in the shop is amazed with it also. (Posted on 3/21/2013)
